Senior Capstone Projects

Innovating. Creating. Leading.

The WMAES Senior Capstone Project represents the culmination of each student’s academic journey. Designed to challenge, inspire, and prepare students for life beyond graduation, the capstone experience empowers seniors to apply their knowledge, creativity, and problem-solving skills to real-world challenges.

Each project reflects months of research, planning, collaboration, and execution — showcasing not only subject mastery but also leadership, initiative, and innovation.

What Is the Senior Capstone?

Students will:

  • Identify a meaningful problem, question, or area of interest
  • Conduct in-depth research
  • Develop and implement a solution, product, or study
  • Present their findings to faculty, peers, and community members

What Makes it Important?

The Capstone experience helps students:

  • Strengthen critical thinking and research skills
  • Develop project management and time management abilities
  • Enhance communication and presentation skills
  • Build confidence and independence
  • Create a portfolio-ready showcase of their work

Featured Projects

Many WMAES capstone projects extend beyond the classroom — partnering with local organizations, businesses, and community leaders to create meaningful impact. These collaborations strengthen community ties while giving students authentic, hands-on experience.
