On Friday, September 27, 2019 around 100 friends, family and community members attended West Michigan Academy of Environmental Science’s Night of Pastabilities annual fundraiser. The night was organized by The Power Parent Group. 

The Night of Pastabilities raised $5,968.43 through a silent and live bidding auction. There were forty items that were part of the silent auction and fifteen items that were part of the live bidding auction. All of the live bidding items were made by WMAES students, many of which were art and jewelry.  

The proceeds will strengthen the environmental science experiences for students and create a state-of-the-art garden and outdoor classroom. Both of these things provide unique learning opportunities for all students. 

“The night was fabulous!” said Kerri Barrett, elementary school principal. “We truly appreciate our Parent Power Group and their incredible work to raise money for our new garden. We are also grateful to our wonderful community sponsors.”
